I have tried many different therapies and worked with several clinicians over the past 12 years, but I don't know why IFS isn't more widely known about as an approach to healing trauma and better understand the Self. In a world where it is difficult just to get off a provider's waiting list, let alone find a good fit, I highly recommend Selma! From our initial session, I felt safe allowing her to access some very guarded parts of myself. Selma is an extremely knowledgeable IFS coach/therapist. I did 2 sessions with her and learned enough from her approach to support myself for awhile (my budget is limited, I recommend sticking with her.) I'm a trauma savvy person who has done a lot of SE and other therapy. In my professional life, I've had to find "rockstars" of their profession and   Selma is definitely a rockstar of the IFS world. Selma helped me discover unresolved emotions from trauma I thought I had dealt with years ago. Turns out I was just really good at hiding those memories. She is so encouraging and genuinely interested in your experience. You can truly tell that her knowledge in IFS is that of an expert. My healing journey with Selma started when I went through a painful marriage betrayal. The pain triggered early childhood attachment issues which I never though I had!
Acknowledging the pain and exploring the reasons behind it as helped me with the healing process by making me less vulnerable to what triggers my early abandonment issues.
Selma helped with strategies to cope with the trauma with EMDR and acknowledging the wounded lost child within.
I am taking my power back and moving forward with hope.

It was revealing in a great way to do treatment with Selma through EMDR Therapy. Her guidance in each session led me to release traumas that I didn't even knew I had and were hindering many aspects of my life. Selma introduced to me IFS and I had never heard of this before. I was definitely interested and willing to start IFS with her and I am so glad I did. It literally changed my life- I am cutting out toxic people from my life the moment they show signs of it, I'm prioritizing my health over other things, and most importantly, my parts are being heard. They are brought to the light and unburdened with the help of Selma. Selma helped me so much!  I was really struggling following narcissistic abuse in a long term relationship.  Selma helped me get in touch with my wounded adult and my wounded child and helped me heal long term hurt.  I am much calmer and more grounded and I can finally see my future as bright and hopeful.  The anxiety I developed after my relationship ended is under control and I feel more peaceful.  Things began to change quickly in a positive direction once I was able to heal and integrate some of my wounded parts. I owe that to the work Selma did with me.
